Tonight our hometown girl Molly is playing for the gold in US womens hockey at 5:30 central time. Great fun to watch even if you are not a hockey fan. Should be an awesome game, the Canadians are very good also. I have been told it will be on MSNBC but don't quote me on that. Go team USA!!!! Molly #9

Have tried but not a hockey fan. Still it ranks significantly higher in my "books" than soccer. Occasionally will drop in and see how they are doing. Unlike nearly all other sports, actually would rather watch women hockey because they tend to score more. Really not a fan of heavy body checking, although it definitely would be my playing style.
 
I hear the Olympic committee is considering dropping woman's hockey. Too many 15-1 or 20-0 scores by the Canadian and US teams against unworthy opponents.
It would be nice if the competition would get better instead of punishing the good teams like they did to the sport of woman's softball.
 
GO CANADA! I agree, it would be a shame to see women's hockey leave the Olympics. It's hard for other countries to compete though when they have only 700 or less women to choose from, whereas Canada has 30 000 and the US even more. If you think 15-0 or 20-0 is bad, watch the Olympic qualifiying game between Slovakia and Bulgaria on Youtube. 82-0 for Slovakia.
