Kioti tractors?

Anybody here ever used or owned a Kioti? They look pretty good, but I am hesitant to pull the trigger. Also looking at Kubota.

I've seen a couple over here on bigger horse operations (25-30HP). That get a almost constant use and seem to hold up real well. Depending on what you have to do I guess.

Steyr compacts seem to be pretty popular also here.

I have three friends that all have Kiotis, all in the 25 to 30 HP range. 2 of them have loaders on them, one doesn't. I service one of them and I don't know of any major problems with any of them. Maybe a minor oil leak and we put glow plugs in one. Used to be a big price difference between Kubota and Kioti, don't know now.

If you get the same features and kind of transmission or features the Kioity will be close to the Kubota. Then the service and parts avl are twice as good from Kubota. Can,t think the resale value would be as good. Unless there was a BIG price diffrence I would lean toward the proven KUBOTA.

I know people who have Kioti's and love them. They seem to not have any problems. The new bobcats are just rebadged Kioti's to my understanding so you could probably get parts at your local bobcat dealer also.

I am looking at a 35 - 40 hp range. Seems like a pretty good value. Really want a good loader tractor.

I work with a fella that has a Kioti and seems to like it fine for his 5 acres. I'd never heard of a Kioti before him, and he kept saying he had a new orange Kioti, Kioti, Kioti and I thought he was talking slang and knowing there aren't new Allis Chalmers, so I kept correcting him with orange Kubota, Kubota, Kubota. He finally showed me a picture of it one day and I said "That's not a Kubota or an Allis Chalmers", and he said, "No, its a Kioti". I remember that it had a loader on it.

He likes it just fine for his needs, and as near as I can tell hasn't had a problem with it. Its your money, and as long as you can get parts or service for it, or do it yourself, good luck, and use it in good health, safely.

Check if it has two hydralic pumps, one for lifts etc. and the second one for power steering. A few years ago they did not. Had what they called power steering prevalent or something like that. The hydralic would lift until the power steering called for pressure, then a diverter would direct the pressure to the steering and the lift would stop. Not a good situation. They've surely corrected that problem by now. And, if you get a scoop and do not get four wheel drive you'll be very sorry no matter what brand you buy! The four wheel drive makes a tractor out of a toy!
