Anyone have a Co op/Deutz 100 06?

Looks like just a red Duetz 100-06. Biggest POS tractor ever made in my never to be humble opinion. I've posted several times about the one that the neighbor bought new. Super lemon!

Only good thing I have ever heard on these is the engines are pretty cheap to run. Other than that nothing good has ever passed these ears.

Nothing wrong with Deutz tractors. Some models had problems. The 100-06 is a good tractor. Just got to know where to get parts if you don"t have a dealer close. I got a 130-06 four wheel drive about a month ago nothing but a big power house.

We had two of them in the seventies; bought both of them new. Good on fuel, lots of gears including creeper gears, handled nice started good, and were cheaper to buy at that time. Now the bad side: too light for heavy tillage, hydraulics were a little slow, remote valves leaked, brakes were somewhat troublesome, clutches were a little weak, and now parts are expensive. I also had a DX120, and it was worse.

Wisconsin Cowman I think the idea of the Deutz tractor is whatever but their management preceded our countries let's get it done cheaper idea. I took a a 130-06 MFWD in on trade in around 1983 and consequently I don't know if you know it or not but they had their front drives made by ZF or ZDF which was a communist bloc country mfr. So I took a White 4-150 in trade for it both customers were hard on their equipment so everything was condition as is two months later the 130-06 ripped the planets out of the right front wheel parts were back ordered and a month later when I left the business it was still sitting in the shop with the wheel gutted. The White 4-150 is on it's umpteenth set of tires still going. I'm hoping Deutz has been able to close the gap with the bloc countries so they can get parts. Right after the collaspe of the communist bloc countries Deutz switched to White and AC final drives and rearends.

You should get some facts straight even if you don't like ZF or Deutz.
Klockner Humboldt Deutz is and has been based in Cologne Germany for well over a century. ZF Friedrichshafen AG is based in Baden-Württemberg Germany, both is the western region... of what was at that time West Germany. There's nothing east bloc about either one, and in my opinion, nothing poor about ZF.
I have little experience with Deutz generally other than to say that most of their engines in this area that were used in forestry gear and light compactors... and that type of stuff did quite well.
The tractors never sold around here because of a lack of support but there are a few kicking around in spite of that and forthe most part, the owners I know are happy with them.
Getting parts and support for them today is mabey not that difficult but you most certainly will have a long distance phone relationship with someone...
