Columbian Rope Counter

Hi Guy's Dad found a Columbian Rpoe Counter on the counter wheel it said pure manila rope. Red White & Blue. It has one large wheel and two smaller ones you pull the rope throug and the gears will trun a pointer to show the amount of rope any help would be Great

Obviously it was used at a hardware store-type place to measure rope for sale. WHAT'S the big deal?

Bob I would more information about it when there built. I can not find any info the Internet about it THAT'S the big deal..

Columbian Rope had a huge factory in Auburn, NY until about the 70"s. Built a new factory and promptly went out of business. Old factory tore down for a strip mall. The new factory is now owned by ITT Technologies, they make Gould"s Pumps there.
