On a 1466 are there differences in the wedge locks that lock them to the axle shaft? If so then how do I tell the difference?
I have one wheel that the wedges only go in about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on each side and the other side they bottom on the wedge ramp in the wheel before they get tight. There are also 2 different wheel castings on this tractor one has ony 4 holes about the size of your hand in it,and the other has about a dozen of those holes/spokes in it.

The first Wedge lock wheels have more holes than the older, heavier wheels. On the one that does not enter the wheel properly, does it fit on the axle properly or does it only touch on the sides? You may have a wedge lock for a smaller axle.

Yes they are setting on the axle ok just seem to be going in to the center of the hub to far so they are past the end of the ramp in the wheel like they are not thick enough to fill the wedge.
