My neighbor just put them out to pasture today. He said their Hereford/Angus cross, and the 2 little guys are twins.

Really makes it worth it. Really great guy, extremely helpfull, and really a pleasure to just sit & BS with. Don't see him too often as I'm gone to work when he comes to take care of the animals here (lives about 1 mile away on his other farm) but when I do see him I ussually walk over & see whats going on. Hopoefully I can buy this 80 acres and if I play my cards right I just might get a little more when he decides he's done.

Not sure about this! My uncles changed over from dairy to beef by using beef bulls on Holsteins. They used both Angus and Hereford bulls through AI. They had a lot of black baldies, but I don't ever remember seeing a brown one! I'm not sure whether it makes a difference or not, but the brood cows were all Angus sired. Someone please clue me in!
TIA, Dave

About 1/4 of the herd at home is red holstein. Something about them they just seem a little more curious than most of the black ones. All started from one black one with a red factor and Mom bred her to a red bull.

Nice looking cattle, and a great view that you've got there. I can see why you'd like to purchase that property in the future.
