Was coming to work and saw a soldier carrying some chain. More joking than anything else, I said I could use 10 ft or so of it if they had any to spare. Told him my back hatch was open and went on to work. Went out a few minutes ago and my little Kia looked funny. There is about 200 pounds of chain, a bag with about 20 pounds of clevices, and another bag with about 30 pounds of hooks and repair links..........

Kinda much for the top link on my rake..................

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth though...

Thought this story would be a little more like the one my son just told. He took his girlfriend to the Detroit Airport Tuesday. He said the signs said not to leave your car unattended. But....parking was $11 and he was just going to drop her off and run her bags in for her. He said just that quick a tow truck had it in the air. Said it cost him $35 to get the driver to let it back down.

Last I knew it was a class A felony to receive Gov. property with out the correct paper work so I guess your going to do the right thing and return it RIGHT or are you going to be a class A felon

The minute you drove out that gate you were criminally liable. I hope that "soldier" doesn't start telling his friends what he did. Not very smart on your part to be talking about it either.
Someone will forward your email to the SecDef JAG

Not as bad as all that....... This stuff was cleaned up from a construction site where a local company left a bunch of stuff behind. Other destination for it was the dumpster......

Thanks for the concern though.....
