wow, that is spectacular ! Is that terrain typical of that area? I have never been anywhere near there, but thanks to you I have seen some great shots thank you
 
Very nice. That looks like it could be here in Western Oregon. I always thought Iowa was flat. Guess I"m wrong again; I should be used to it by now.
 
Most of Iowa IS relatively flat, except for the Northeast corner. Iowa is a lot more diverse than most people realize. It's truly a beautiful place, and I'm glad to live here (except for the politics).

How do you keep that pond from being choked with algae and weeds? It looks great. I have a heck of a time keeping our pond clear.
 

My brother lives in NE Iowa and was showing me around up there...

IT is beautiful all right...

The thing that amazed me as far as NOT living there was the property taxes!! He pointed out one guy's house and his property taxes alone were more than a nice house payment down here...

Whenever I tavel through Iowa, I can almost see the tall prairie grass blowing in the wind and the almost endless buffalo herds that roamed those hills before white man came along and screwed it up. It must have been a sight to behold.
