Live farm auctions

Some one on here a week or so back posted the question about if there were still any live farm auctions. There has not been much of any good'ns around here all dang summer. One good consignment sale is all I have been to since March. Just now I was going through my list of local auction sites and found two dang good'ns the same day! One 40 miles to the east the other 60 miles to the west. The only thing is they are both the Saturday after I am figure'n on start'n cutting tobacco. Ain't that the way life works? Oh well, might see if I can find some one go'n or maybe with a little luck it will rain and I can send my brother to one of them.

The one to the east is just off 81 tween Sacramento and Bremen. It's the 18th. Company is Lynelle S Eaves out of Central City.

James R has several sales come'n up but the one in Cadiz is the one that caught my eye. My wife really needs a 2600 for Christmas, and I would just like to see what the 7000 is worth. ;)

I know the feeling. Here in southern MO we have times when there are very few farm auctions and then a bunch within a few weeks. When there is nothing available, I've usually got time and/or money. When there are lots of auctions, I rarely have the time and often not the money to spare....

Somehow I wonder if my wife is fixing it that way?!

I know mine is in cahoots with them. The only real good sale around here I was bent on go'n to this summer was on June 9th. A construction company shut down and they had over 20 trailers in all shapes and sizes. My wife had our first child on June 7th and they would not give her enough meds in the hospital for me to get away.

never heard of this auction company but haven't been to a auction in Evansville area in YEARS.

That outfit came here and had a sale just out side of Sebree about 3 years ago. Not a very enjoyable day. I know more about fine jewlery then any one on their team knew about farm stuff. It was one of those long days of listening to "We have a 6 foot 6 inch green and white tee shaped fence post. Could be antique, who will give me $10 for it,,,,,,,," And then two minutes later we start all over again "We have another 6 foot 6 inch,,,,,,,,," Buddy of mine said that things got right kinda late in the day after all the out of state folks who had to move their lawn chair every time the auctioneer took a step left, but I just left around dinner time.

The "other" company up there has been much better from what I have seen, only complaint about them is their consignment sale last winter was a disorganized mess. They should have found a better day or an inside sale to learn how to use their new computer system instead of a 20 degree day with 30 mph wind.
