W30 carburetor

I have my dad's W30 that we are in the process of restoring. My Dad tells me that the original zenith carburetor on the W30s were problematic - not sure what the issues were - but they replaced it with a carburetor from an M. I'd like to get it back to it's original equipment but can anyone varify this and as a consequence, should I keep the M carb on it. Lastly, any recommendations on where to go to get an original zenith carb. Thanks
