Was out trimming the grass down the rifle range from my hose to the targets. With the 5ft Bush Hog rotary mower and the noise started.
Looked back and found the entire under deck rotating assembly of the blades, "t"-bar, stump jumper pan and both blades sitting on the ground.
Snapped the vertical shaft off at the base of the gearbox.
Glad the deck was down sliding on the ground instead of up a few inches. The entire assembly stayed trapped under the deck instead of cartwheeling to who knows where.
Have to price the vertical shaft/T-bar/stump jumper pan, bearing & seals. Maybe cheaper to look for another rotary cutter. Just put new blades on the swine a few months ago too.
