Neighbor has a farmall 560 with a 403ci motor in it. Thought about buying it and did not know what that it was worth? Is the motor worth any more being a bigger cubic inch? tin is fair, paint is fair-to-poor, no fast hitch, no fenders,
tires are ok. Motor runs out nice.
thanks,

If it's an International truck motor, it's likely the Red Diamond 406 [RD-406]. The 406 is the little [but not littlest] brother to the RD-450 that pullers used to love [not sure the fondness continues today]. Those RD engines were true workhorses, and were found in a lot of dump trucks, road tractors of the '50's, and fire engines.

If it just has the plain horseshoe-shaped drawbar, for around $800 you can get a well-built Saginaw 3-point hitch to make the tractor a bit more versatile around the farm..

I doubt if that tractor would be worth any more than any, common, ordinary 560 in the same condition. Maybe even less because of the added wear and stress in the drive train form being powered by such a large engine. I will guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,500 to $3,000 or less.
