Mighty low pressure, too. The barometer here says 29.37" & steady, for the moment. Winds are hustling through at 28 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH. I can hear the shingles on the garage roof flap every once & a while. I'm thinkin' that I'll pass on tractor & chainsaw duty, today. >:v( I have to drive to Milwaukee in a couple of hours & pick someone up. Me an' my big @#*($! mouth. I'll have to sit in the passenger seat to hold the wheel straight on the way down! For Pete's sake!

I figured I'd leave a link to some neat info on this storm, below.

Low Down.....

Yep,windy. Wife just called and said the plastic skylites on the big barn are lifting up,thats what i get for putting the house and 2 of the barns on a hill, with no big fence lines close. steve

heard on the news yesterday some woman in a car just south of the wisconsin border had a tree limb crash thru her windshield and impaled her. took a while for the fire department to extract her. she is still in the hospital in fair condition.

Yep windy as all getout here in SE lower MI too..

Glad we got some rain with it yesterday or it'd be even more dusty than it still is..

Been consistantly blowing 35-40 mph here in South Dakota with gust up to and over 60 mph. Flat prarie land with hardly anything to slow it down

I just talked to my aunt in SW North Dakota. She told me gusts of 60 to 70 mph. I Checked the weather at the airport in Hettinger, it seems likely. Miserable pheasant hunting.

It's dry here and it's blowed all the dirt away from around my old hand dug well.

Thinking about using it for a silo next year.

Always the optimist,
Paul

Got 0.93 inches of rain yesterday with plenty of winds, gusting up to 46mph. Today wind is averaging in the mid 30's, with gusts to 50mph. (several). Measured by my digital windspeed meter. Had to wear gunmufflers to even be able to go outside to work. Winds like that in my ears are almost painful. Plus, it keeps my hat on, so I don't have to chase it all the time!

Windy as heck here too. Across Lake Winnebago from me a semi trailer was blown over on Hwy 41 in Oshkosh. Brought both Northbound and Southbound lanes to a dead stop I heard on the radio.

That would've been miserable, as that's a major artery around here with thousands of cars running that route everyday.

PLus side is, the mud is drying out. We've got 1 feild left to chop, but I couldn't get it Monday night due the being too wet. I got about a 1/3 of a load and I got stuck. Took 2 tractors to pull the wagon backwards and get it out.

If this wind keeps up much longer, should be able to get to it soon.

Had a visit from a ham radio operator friend of mine this afternoon. Seems he lost a tower - broke in two places, several antennas on it. Part landed on his roof. Said he had gusts to 80mph - his estimate.

Been very windy along the shores of Lake Superior here the last few days. The road commission had two gusts over 80mph and many in the 50-70mph range with sustained winds in the 40's.

Rain and snow have finally let up thankfully so it isn't quite some miserable outside.
