My SC turns over good and there is spark my every spark plug and the gas flows out of the gas line but the tractor won"t start up??

What kind of spark do you have. It should be FAT, AND BLUISH-WHITE, the color of lightning. If it"s a spindly yellowish or bluish red or even blue, it"s not good enough.

Check points for wrong gap, burned, oily, or pitted points, bad condensor, bad coil bad conections, broken primary wire, ,, bad key switch, etc.

If your carb has a bowl drain on the bottom, open the tank valve fully and holding a suitable continer under the carb, remove the drain plug. Fuel should continuously gush out like a cow peein" on a flat rock. If it dribbles or is intermittent, you have a restriction in the fuel delivery (filters, screens, tank valve, etc)ot a hung float or a clogged float valve.

Check timing and firing order.

If all the above are OK, check compression.

Hold your hand over the throat of the carburetor and see if there's good suction. If there's not much suction means you have low intake manifold vacuum. Check your manifold to make sure its not leaking. Spray some starter fluid around where it mates to the engine while a helper makes an attempt to start the engine.

If it still doesn't fire I would check the compression and compare the readings. If you have low compression I pull all the plugs and pour engine oil on top of all the pistons. Then crank the engine over a few times. Reinstall the plugs and see if it will start. Worn rings, sleeves and valves not seating can cause
low compression. Hal
