I"m looking for a service/parts manual for a Delco Remy starter. Model #1109605 from a 1949 Allis Chalmers G tractor. Does anyone know where I could find one?

I have never seen a service manual for a specific starter. If you will look in older auto service manual there is a general starter service section. You might want to read that. A understanding of basic DC motor theory is also of help. Is the specific information you are looking for? If so what is it?

google the part number to find lots of parts suppliers. these manuals for the newer starters might help some:

Most starter shops will have the bushing and bearing along with the brushes
