Loader Value

Hi all , looking at purchasing a loader off a ford ? it's square tubing , has cylinders, valve, and bucket included . What is it worth ?

Thanks in advance

I would need to know brand and model or if that is not possible a list of features (single or double acting boom cylinder(s), trip or hydraulic bucket, material bucket or fork, quick mount/ detach) as the presence or lack of would certainly influence my opinion.

Sorry about the lack of details . Anyway , the cylinders are single acting , it does have a trip material bucket, and control vale, not sure about quick mount because it's kinda half burried in the snow . But it's off a Jubalie , and that is sold . Hope this helps

Assuming it has not been welded up and the cylinders and valve are perfect functioning I would say 500 to 1000 dollars but would also note there are some areas where something like that would be a very hot commodity versus others. With snow falling in a lot of places right now I would imagine everybody with a loader to sell is holding out for top dollar.

It would depend on how beat up it is. And if it works off the tractor hydraulics or if it has a front pump. If the valve system is an actual Ford part that bolts to the Ford top cover, that part could be worth at least $100.

The fact of it being a trip loader brings down the value a lot. On the other hand, a trip loader is a huge amount better than no loader at all, and only gives you 2 cylinders that you will eventually have to rebuild. If it operates from the tractor hydraulics, that operation will be pretty slow.

What does the owner think it is worth? I don't think I would pay much over about $400 for a trip loader if it was pretty nice. If it has been welded on and repaired many times, I would not offer nearly that much. You really need to be able to see what you would be getting.

But having a loader is really nice--probably the tractor implement I use most often. Good luck!

Thanks for the help guys . I 'm going to adapt it on 1961 550 Oliver diesel that I just bought because it has loaded rear tires , but unfortunatley no p.s. I would probably sell the tractor without the loader right now but haven't figured out how to put the photo on the list ?
