O/T new work bench pic

Its been cold the past few days and got a wild spur and decided it was time to build a new work bench. We had to buy a few boards but had the rest laying around. Its nothing perfect but it will work for what we need it for thought i would share a few pics, please post pics of what the rest of you are working on during these cold months

Nice looking job! You used a little imagination on those drawer handles. Probably wish you hadn't when you need one of them, but they do look good!

Hey Thats a neat work bench! nice job.I see you have 2 roll around tool boxes in the back of your shop? They look like craftsman, kinda like mine. I dont have any cold weather pics for you, If I ever get time to rebuild my wooden hay rack hay wagon I'll post some pics.

Thanks, the drawer handles are actually just wood i took a 1 by 6 and sketched a wrench out, I'm happy with the finished product.

Nice looking bench,i like your wrench handle idea.

I been working on the "Honey do" list.

Renovate the kitchen and give it a country style look with the old barn boards.
The delft blue tiling back splash gives it an old dutch accent.

I also installed the range hood and build the nuke oven in the wall.

I ended up buying a cheap miterbox to carry in my truck, had a bearing out on this motor. Got the motor fixed, so needed a stand for this one in the shop. Got one board-5/4" thick, 14 1/2 wide, 11' 1" long. When all cut and planed, had only 2' of 2 1/4" poplar left!

Designed a 'down draft' dust collection for it too, seems to work better than other miter box dust systems I have been around!

I wanted to do tiles like that in our kitchen but wife grew up with the same thing in her grandmas and wanted something different. Wonder why I married that woman sometimes................

Is that a rabbit laying on the counter? I did that once and Mom saw to it that I never even thought of doing anything of the kind again.

Nice work.

I had to chuckle at the mention of the rabbit. That percieved rabbit is a rag i used to apply the stain to the wood.LOL
As a kid we used to eat plenty tame and wild jack rabbit(very good eating).

My Wife and i are pretty much on the same page on most things.
