Anyone have problems with their gift cards? i recived one that was not activated and we gave one that had the same problem lucky we still had our reciept from when we bought it and they made it good. the lady said we have a lot of problems with these.
sounds to me like a good way for wal-mart to make some money
 
Haven't had much experience with their gift cards, but I've bought two or three Tracfone cards to add minutes to my cell phone and had them rejected as already been redeemed when I tried to add the minutes to the phone.

Of course, Walmart says it's Tracfone's problem, not theirs. Big hassle to get it straightened out. Never had the problem when I've bought the cards elsewhere.
 
I got two Walmart gift cards, One worked and the other didn't, the girl just looked at me and shrugged. Don't know how much it was for but Walmart did ok. I was SOL
 
You need a receipt but Walmart can check if a card has been activated. I think they can also deactivate a card if it is lost or stolen. Dave
 
Evidently there's a problem with thieves scanning the cards on the rack and then somehow stealing the cards value. If you're going to buy a card, buy one from behind the counter where they can't get to it.
 
Heard of people not being able to use their cards, because there was nothing on them. When ever we buy one of them, we always ask them to scan the card again when we purchase it, that way you know that it hs the amount of purchase on it. Just have to be very carfull these days.
 
Can't beat cash. Just another example of big corporations trying to eliminate cash money with full governmental approval.

All the slicks think this is great.

Real people know better.
 
Goose, i have had that problem with tracphone and i call there tech # and it takes a long time to solve but we get the minutes added to the phone.
