My Old country church that I attend. I plow the parking lot with my H, and last night we recieved another 4 to 5 Inches of new snow. It is a nice sunny sky so I thought it would make a nice picture.

Hello, Rollie!
Thank you for the beautiful photo! I am the pastor of a small Lutheran Church here in Rushford, Minnesota. One of my members moves our snow with a Farmall Super H and Paulson loader. I help him with our 18 horsepower Simplicity tractor/snowblower and my trusty shovel. When I was a boy, I helped my Dad move snow at our country Church, just up the road from our dairy farm. He used a Super MTA and Farmhand F-11 loader, while I shoveled the walks. Enjoy a Blessed weekend!

Great picture. Reminds me of a former church in Ontario where I was the pastor. I am now retired with the United church of Canada and also retired from most snow, living on vancouver island. I am the proud owner of a Farmall A that I call Holy Smoke. It was purchased from an Anglican minister and resurrectied to new life by a united church minister. I thought it might smoke when I started it (it didn"t) I am glad I do not have to plow snow anymore, but your picture brought back vivid memories. Thanks

This old church don't need plowing out no more,
nobody goes there anymore anyway.
Dates from the 30 ths i think

When I traveled the backroads of Saskatchewan on the harvest I couldn't help but notice the country churches. The cemeteries were surrounded with a wrought iron fence and the stones were big and tall with a cross on top. Most of the cemeteries were right up against the church building itself. The sad part was most of them are now vacant, some with the roof caving in. The denominations were either Roman with the tall pointed steeple, Ukranian with the big upside-down turnip dome, or Anglican. Being a full blooded Danish Skandanavian I felt kind of out of place. Great picture. I go to a country church also. Original brick building was built in 1868, been added on to three or four times.

The corner stone was laid in 1908. We do not have a cemetary.
Our congregation is old. I am 60 and most of those that attend are a lot older than me. We are non denominational and everyone is welcome.

We are located on the Larksville Mtn, Larksville Boro, PA
