Hey Fudpucker or any one else from the area

Just wandering if there was any good rumors going around down that way about the livestock sale barn open'n back up any time soon?

I know the next one down 60 ain't too many more miles but I hate the hills and curves. Least if I can stop in town there all the steep hills with curves in them are going up hill loaded. From the house Owensboro ain't that much farther but sure does take longer, ain't as straight a shot and not as good breakfast on the way.

Dave,

I haven't heard anything about it opening back any time soon so I don't know. I always sell in Ledbetter ( I think thats the one your talking about near Paducah) now and have always done a little better there. I know too many people that have got short changed by the one that is closed now. Your right though it is a hilly curvy road to get down to Ledbetter. If I hear anything I'll let you know. About ten years ago when I was leave'n MSU every one talked about how great Ledbetter was so I tried them. Had 9 steers that all looked just alike and took 3 to Ledbetter, Marion, and Owensboro all the same week, Ledbetter done a good bit better. When the Gibsons took over Marion I tried them again and done just as well as Ledetter so been stop'n there on Mondays for several years. Just before the big fiasco I was told that the folks who own Ledbetter bought Owensboro and prices seem to be more on par there now than they were years ago.

I think if Marion opens back up it will almost have to be under new ownership. Even the buyers wouldn't want to show up. It's just by far a better drive form the house.
