The weather service is forecasting as much as 20 inches of snow for our area. This is going to be a dandy. Alot of people will be getting some time off because of this. It will keep us busy around the farm for 3 or 4 days trying to get things back to normal. I guess its our turn in the barrel.

Misting here and already icy. Lots of schools closed and expecting up to 12 inches of snow later tonight and tomorrow and cold, cold, cold like -5 degrees Tuesday night.

When giving weather reports like this could yall Please include location.
Nothing happening here in Southwest MO YET. Temp mid-30's but It looks as if it will be Sporty tommorow Feb. 1. I have got to get two military generators running for the FD today. A MEP-18 and a MEP-003A.

NEKS I'm thinking maybe North East Kansas??? They are calling for a couple of inches tonight and a storm watch for 12 or more inches starting tues night. Thats "Here" which is Mid Michigan by the way.

Whoa, that's a bunch of snow for someone with outside livestock. Well, for anyone, I guess but the livestock has to live in it. I hope the wind doesn't pick up. Jim

It started snowing here in NW Kansas about daybreak. 4-5 inchs forecasted with 40 MPH wind. Probably be just enough to make hauling hay with a semi a PITA on these non-maintained country dirt roads.

DeltaRed, I'm just about on the Norton-Phillips co. line, north of highway 36.

Did you ever know a guy named Bill Paul?
He's dead now, but he was a govt trapper at one time (out of Paonia), and a friend of mine.

My guess would be nordeast Kansas, plus if they"re getting ice, it"s warmer than we are... but yeah, nice to know. Can"t always tell tho- I thought "Land of Jefferson" would have been from maybe Virginia- he"s actually near the other coast.

Yes this will be a good one to put us in our place. Mother nature always wins just have to learn to get along with her.

I am going to top off the hay feeders tonight, the wood pile, and put chains on the old Michigan loader.

The national weather services said 18-24 inches here in. SE Wisconsin. Wind gusts to 60 MPH. Drifting 3-5 feet. And that's not even counting on the lake affect snow that is hard to predict. Bring it on! I'll believe it when I see it!

Here at the Lake of the Ozark in Missouri it has started to rain. Last weather report I saw said we would get 1 to 2 inches of freezing rain then that will slowly turn to snow with about 9-12 inch of snow before it is all sad and done then temps down a little bit below zero. Was in town the temps where around 35 degrees as per 2 banks on there time/temp signs

Here They are saying 12" or more.

Hey, Double R, Here Is Mt. Pleasant, Michigan!! Mighty close to ya!!
But most will be Alma and south, so we shall see how it goes!

20 Head of cattle w just a windbreak for them. They have weathered worse, Like freezing rain at 10 degrees......

Up to 20 inches of snow and (gasp) 40mph wind gusts forcast for Wed. Got all the township stuff tuned up and ready, but I think we'll be a couple of days to get dug out. Girlfriend will have a day or two to catch up on TV. Wish I could just bunker in too!!

The snow and the wind are one thing, but the worst is the ice that Old wrote about. That stuff can cause some long term power outages!!
When our son was 3 weeks old we got caught in an ice storm that took our power and HEAT out for over a week.
That would have been 1976 down in Columbia Co, WI.
Those folks will remember that one forever!
