Haven't seen him on here in a week or so. I think he got po'd at somebody. I miss his posts, usually very well thought out and documented.

The local geniots seem to have that effect more and more lately.
Hope he reads this and emails me. Nice to get an answer to a question instead of having a thread hijacked and turned into a coffeeshop chat.

Dave can you explain your definition of what you consider the "geniots" as it's not in Websters Dictionary?

So if someone has a different opinion with an answer stated to a problem from a long time poster then do you classify the newbie as a "geniots"???

Not at all..... Look at just about any thread where someone asks a question or for some help and count the responses that actually attempt to answer the question and the ones that throw something out there to sway the subject and start a conversation/debate of their own. Used to be that would just happen now and then. Nowadays, seems like you can get an answer now and then.......

but, it's free.........

I've kept quiet long enough about this subject and I'll be honest at best. JDMERRIS or whoever he is, appears to be a self educated idiot in my opinion. He is pompous and talks about all of his work experience but pretty much holes himself up in some backwood location with a few crappy tractors and a long-haired homeschooled kid that is young enough to be his grandson. I believe he has a criminal history and hides that but boldly comes online to socially network. I have read my fair share of his "vast knowledge" and have patiently gleened a few good tidbits of that knowledge which I eventually realized could be found by any internet search. He spews data like a college prodogy but at one point didn't even know the difference beteween circumfrence and radius. I will carefully say that some of you should use common sense about who you listen to regardless of how inteligent they make themselves look.

So if you miss the guy that bolts 3/4 ton axles and a camper to a chitty Chevy Blazer for a 3000 mile trip to God-knows-where and then falls off the internet map --- good fortune to you as well!

Now matter how John Demaris got his JD tractor education I can assure you from what little I know about JD tractors it's not self taught. He's the most knowledgeable man on JD DubuqueMannheim utility tractors that I've had the pleasure of reading his replies on repairs. This doesn't include his vast automotive knowledge. So he's set in his ways but so am I. Being human he's also capable of making a mistake.

Granted he owns a lot of vehicles,equipment and he has a young son with long hair BUT THAT"S HIS BUSINESS not yours or mine.

I have read John's posts for several years now and his credentials as far as I am concerned are above reproach. He, as others have stated knows his JD stuff to a degree which shows he has hands on as well as factory training. His knowledge of Roosa/Stanadyne fuel systems is indisputable. I would never even imply that a person had a criminal history and would never post something like that even if I knew it to be true, what possible motive would there be for that ? If I were John I would not even dignify this thread with a response. mEl

If you know more than him on topics, I am at a loss as to why you do not have many replies with good answers on here.
We have to accept the good with the bad on here, as most of us do not know each other.

Landlord, you ignorant post made you look like the horses backside I am sure you really are. Picking on peoples children is about as low and COWARDLY as a person can go. Can;t use the word man since anyone doing what you did clearly doesn't qualify as a man in any sense.

I suggest you do what you can to repair the damage you've done.

Was always told that the best indication of a man's character is in the way he dessribes someone else's. Especially one he don't know to begin with.
