7210 not going into park

i"ve got a 2002 7210 JD with 6700hrs on it, its been sitting for a good while and I had to lube up the quad range shifter linkages to get it to shift properly, however its still not going into park, I even extended the linkage as far as it would go and still nothing. the shifter goes easily into the park position but no park. Has anyone dealt with this?

check on the RH side of the range box up high near cab floor to see if linkage is moving. I have seen the roll pin break, the spring break, mud and dirt binding linkage, or maybe linkage has just come loose? (broken cotter pin or clip). Oh yeah, you have to be under the machine and have someone move the lever. It does not have to b running.
