Equipment question.

At a auction I went to on Saturday, they had a piece of equipment which looked like a table saw, but had rubber things sticking out of it, like a wheel with rubber posts on it, were a blade would be on a table saw? It had a electric motor. Anybody know what it is? I dident bring my camera so I dont have a pic.

Yep, I'd say a chicken plucker.

Gotta tell this. When I was in Japan, we had a Gunnery Sergeant that no one could stand in our department.

He joined our crowd one night in a bar in Yamato. Someone told the jo-sans his name was Chicken Plucker and he had a lot of money. (Takusan okane). You can imagine the results.

I think Mike Rowe used one on Dirty Jobs to defeather ducks or something,???? I remember he had to be careful the machine dident suck the bird in and around it.

yes I saw that one, it was geese. Is the ladys son still living in the barn? Must have been pretty cold in there this winter! lol

Ya he is, I dont know for sure, but I suspect the lady and her other unemployed 44 year old son and his 21 year old russian wife(who works at Macys) might be out of heating oil! They were using the wood stove for the first time in years. They had some wood I cut up after a ice storm in 07, not alot. Any way its not really funy any more as Im owed alot of money for feed. At least Im taking care of her 3 horses rather than neglecting them. I feel good about that part as I have been with the horses since 1990. After the horses are gone, 'if they dont lose the place first' I may take my equipment and leave, or stay and do hay, I dont know yet. J
