This always happens to me!

Well I finally took scrap to the metal yard today, 1820lbs and wouldent you know it, get home and find a nail in my truck tire! 2-OTTA 3 times Iv had this happen. J
 
That's why I hated to haul my scrap into the local yard in wooster ohio. For what little money I got wouldn't cover ruining 1 tire.

Hauled some farther away to Milliron in Shelby Ohio and got more money and you can drive in on clean pavement. No driving through junk and mud.
 
Thats interesting... I started hauling scrap last June, and since then, I bet that i've taken in more than 50 loads... In the summer, I'd do 2-3 a week, some weeks more. I always go to the same yard (Metal shredders, inc, miamisburg, oh) and I just pulled the first screw out of one of my tires this past week. To be honest, I don't even have a reason to believe that it came from that yard.
 
The yard we go to is pretty clean, but the other day I backed up to the pile, and when I got out I found that I had backed onto what looked like enough bent nails to fill a couple five gallon buckets. I figgered I'd get a flat or two, but so far, not so.

Sims Metal Management, 700 Smith BLVD Port Of Albany, right off 787, not to hard to get too. I got $171.00 for 1820lbs of crap I had, I would have got more if I seperated it, I just dumped is as un prepared iron. Did you get your dics home yet? before the storm? J
 
You can believe what ever you want, but a piece of steel was in my tire, This is only the second time I took that truck out in 2011. I know it dident come from around here.
 
just got 'em home...
went yesterday and got them disassembled and then hauled 1 of the sets of discs
then took the other three and towed the frame home today...
i'll have to check w/ my dad...he has our last receipt from the scrapyard in schen....
 
Put a screw in my truck's front passenger while making a garbage run with it a few months ago. Only cost me $5 and the frustration of changing a tire to put my spare on.
