How's the rivers doing? My brother sucks at answering emails so always wonder about him til he decides to check in. No real danger, he just tells me how things are in the area. We used to live next to the Hocking River and would tie a boat to the frt dood and row across the frt yard, tie up to a phone pole, walk the RR tracks to the town on the hill where the vehicles were parked 3 to 4 times a year.

From all accounts, the river is pretty much down to normal. It did get into the stores in Pomeroy a few weeks ago, but only about 6". Believe me that's good for our area (only 6") LOL. I'm working at the Mitchell Power plant at Moundsville. WV and the river is pretty much at normal pool up here. The hard rains this past week were around Charleston & Huntington so didn't affect us that much. Should be getting done here about the middle of May just in time to get equip't ready for the haying season. Just my thoughts, keith
 
Dave2 I live just south of Huntington In Wayne Co WV. River is up a little. After Rain this week. any time you want report just ask.

You folks are quite a ways down the river. Didn't realize it til I looked at the map. He's in Belpre (across from Parkersburg for you hillbillies :roll: )

Bellville locks pretty much controlled our fate where we grew up. You could tell when they closed it cause it'd look like our river was stopped or flowing backwards. His place in Belpre always gets wet with the heavier flooding.
