My 560 was one of the later models, I believe everyone agrees IH had cured that problem as time went on That 560 was never apart from clutch housing to pto. I did however rebuild the pto every 3-5 years. My big workload was pto on items like forage harvester, also had a side discharge flail manure spreader took a lot of hp. As far as tillage went the tractor did not do the kinds of and volume of drawbar work many 560s did. I only plowed about 150 acres in those days. I was filling 2 24' X 70' tower silos a couple of smaller bunkers. One of the tower silos would get filled twice a season. My 560 also spread the seasons manure from 135 holsteins, all confined feeding. I will admit power train was weak point, the engine would litterally tear the pto to shreads. I was just started into farming and there wasn't enough money floating around to trade for a 806 or 56. That would have been ideal. I know I destroyed that tractor, but sometimes thats what you had to do to make money. Tractor went to boneyard less the pistons in the barnyard.
