i'm in nw iowa ,big buck state there was just a non-typical record deer taken here in iowa this fall by of all people a 16 yr old kid first time hunting.the state used to be somewhat quiet about the deer taken here and now people are lining up for the big bucks up here.what do you hunt with, bow, blackpowder, shotgun, pistol?used to be here that for a deer license you had to have an application and your money sent in by sept 1st or you weren't even considered for a license and they kept your money.happened to me twice.but now you can go to almost any convenience store and buy a license.and the poaching has increased 3 to 4 times what it used to be.but ever deer taken is one less i have to worry about hitting on the road ,girlfriends daughter came home tonite, her boyfriend hunts deer and has 2nd season tag but about 10 miles out of town the saw a herd of at least 75 deer
