Paul: I installed a new head gasket in my Super A several years ago. Actually I had a guy in this type of business do it for me. I'm not sure what he used for torque. He did not use a sealer of any kind. His concern on sealers if you happen to get a bit too much, the affect on thermosyphon. He was also very adamit that I come back after 8-10 hours of use and he retorque and reset valves. He did these items and I've never looked back. The figure of 85# does ring a bell, but I'm just not sure on it.
