I have a couple of the cheap Chinese ones, asked about this on Tool Talk, was told to get good ones, local long term parts places said the cheap ones were ok. I got what I paid for -- junk. I may not buy Starret, but if I would have had one (and learned to use it), I would not have had to ask all those questions. Thanks for the response.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
