If you have nice blue coil spark, leave the points and condenser (and coil) alone. It must be passing spark to ground inside the cap and rotor, or the rotor is not aligned, or the tab is broken off, or the button contact in the center of the cap is broken. The new rotor and cap are not a sure thing, Try the old ones to be certain, they are often replaced without cause. Corrosion on their tips/terminals causes no real issues at 10,000volts or more. cracks, moisture, or carbon tracks (visible as a slight discoloration and texture) will provide a path to ground. If the weather is humid, or the tractor has not run for a couple of months. Jim
