I removed one from a 1944 model H afew years ago and used a pipe wrench to unscrew it, and replaced it with a 1/2 inch galvanized pipe nipple of the same length. You will find that it and the mounting bolts are screwed into a thicker piece of metal than the rest of the radiator. good luck
