I have a Massey 135 with a Perkins engine. I have had the tractor split 2 times 3 and 5 years ago and the problem still persists of pushing in on the clutch and the trying to get the tractor stopped by applying all the weight I can on the brakes. It is now getting to the point when it is sometimes hard to get in gear and when it does it does with a strong jerk (worried about breaking a cog). Sometimes the tractor will stop and then it is fun trying to get it out of gear.
Shifting the hydralics will help somewhat at times. I do have some oil leaking which I assume could be a part of the problem why it is getting so bad but still the leak was not always the problem.
Someone told me there is a danger of getting the plate in backwards. Is this a possibility?
Anyway, if anybody has some suggestion you can contact me directly or put your suggestions on here.
Thanks
