: I have a Farmall B that sputters and pops slighty. It is
: most noticeable at mid/high speed (idles perfect). Here is what I checked
: and think are working ok. New points, plugs, distributor cap,
: rotor, plug wires. Checked timing. I tried 2 different clean carbs.
: Checked the compression - all 4 cylinders read 95 psi. Checked for vacuum
: leaks on the intake from carb to cylinders. Fresh Gas
: It runs great other than this variable pop/miss that is driving me
: crazy. My next guess is carbon build up in the heads or intake manifold.
: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
: Thanks, DG

DG, What kind of plugs did you put in this tractor. My guess is plugs, whatever you put in, replace with something else. I find the best plugs for starting ar Champion D-15Y but I also keep Autolite 386's or AC c-86's on hand in case the particular tractor doesn't like one or the other.
