Looking at Hydraulic control valves there are several terms that are used to describe the operational characteristics of various valves like "open center/closed center", "three-way", "four-way". I bought a used valve from a friend, a cross. I don't understand what all of the fittings are. There are two 3/4" (for a 1/2" hose) on the top, these are for connecting to the cylinder I think. One 1" (for a 3/4" hose), I don't have a clue what this is for. One 1" (for a 3/4" hose) on the left and right side of the body, I would assume one inlet and one return. I will be using this for my homemade 3pt hitch. Thanks for any help clarifying these terms. Regards, Rick from Paso.
