Looking at a 2000 2500 chevy 4x4, with the 6.0, all I have had in the past were 350"s and 454"s. The truck seems to run out great, but has high miles,270,000, It has just recently had a 8"6" bosss v plow added to it, and they are asking $7500. I figure the plow should be worth $1500-$2000, so looking at $5500 for the truck. Its ex cab, long box. Would probaly put the plow on my 97 1 ton 454, and the 2500 would be my family truck. How are the 2500"s compared to the 2500HD"s? I think even i the motor were to go bad, or the transmission, I could stick a few grand in it and still have a resonable truck for the money. Any thoughts? Wife is after me to dump the rusty ol "93 1500.
