First let's talk about Deere. This company has derived all its present success
riding on the coattails of the founder of the tractor industry-Oliver.
It was Oliver who taught John Deere in the mid-50s how to build a multi-cylinder
engine, especially a diesel. So all JD lovers, insert a big thank you to Oliver
here for the success of your company, which, unfortunately, had a hand
in ruining the company that taught it almost everything it now knows.
Ford Trucks: As in tractors, we all have our favorites, but there are certain
facts which cannot be denied. Ford is the best selling truck in the world.
This doesn't say much because JD is the best selling tractor. But those of
us who have owned Fords know how rugged they are, especially if
we've also had the misfortune to work on all the other makes.
