: We've converted 6 of ours as the generators died, and the slow-speed units are the best. The 37 amp is more than adequate, and you don't have to replace the ammeter.
: You will have to reverse the polarity of the electrical system to negative ground, reverse the ammeter connections so it will read properly, and run a #12 wire from the new alt to the load side of the ammeter.
: You will need a hinge bracket for the alternator (can be cobbled up from the generator mounting, or simpler, mount it on the timing cover like the 135 or later units.
