My brother had a D2. He had a lot of problems with the pony motor and eventually had the diesel engine converted to electric start. Of course the diesel engine wouldn't start without the electric engine heater being plugged in for a while. So he always had to park it where he could plug it in.
He also had some trouble with one of the tracks coming off, and he always thought it was underpowered. He likes his D6 a whole lot better.
