Look over the linkage. Could be something came apart or broke.

When was the last time TA and main clutch were adjusted to specs in IH operator's manual? I think it calls for this every 6 months or 500 hours of operation.

If no speed change when you pull lever back the T/A clutch is not disengaging for some reason. Also a outside chance the planet gears locked up for some reason, but I doubt thats it.

i could not find any linkage out of whack, but that does not mean none are broke. i will check specs and adjust clutch and T/A. it just seemed to have gone out when it was sitting in the shed. one day it worked and the next it didnt. ran out of time now though. looks like i know what im doing next weekend. THANKS !!!!

One other thing,if the T/A clutch is not disengaging when you push clutch to shift gears you will get hang up or hard to take out of gear, more so if on a grade and tractor tries to roll a different dirrection than gear dirrection. Do you have this problem?
