After years of not having one, I replaced the temp guage with a new one (official Case/IH). Everything appeared to fit up OK, sensor into radiator neck, etc, but it won't register any heat. Plenty of coolant to reach into the neck. It's gotta be pretty simple - what am I missing? Thanks CPC

Probably nothing wrong, just missing a thermostat. Those Super C's tend to run cool and have to have a pretty good work out under load to register on the temp gauge if the t'stat is out.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a working temperature guage on a C or Super C, unless it was a complete restoration.

I'd still like to fix mine. Then I may have the only Super C in the world with the original paint (VERY rough) and a working temp guage!

Then I can concentrate on the temp guage for the hydraulics...
