I am looking for a 9 speed conversion kit for a Farmall M that I am restoring. Do you know if there is anywhere that still sells this kit or someplace that I could get one for my tractor. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

For everyone's information: M&W is NOT out of business, but they no longer make hop-up parts for tractors.

Levi,

Think logically for a minute... Do you really think companies are still making this kind of stuff for 50-70 year old tractors? We have enough trouble getting repair parts for a 10-year-old car, and there are still hundreds of thousands of those on the roads being used for their original intended purpose. You can't realisitically expect a hop-up accessory that was rare when the tractors were still the main power on family farms to still be in production half a century later when at least half of these tractors are scrapped, and most of the remaining ones are relegated to menial chores or being "shed queens."

If you want it you're going to have to look around, look everywhere. You might find an NOS kit on ebay but be prepared to pay. More than likely you will either find a used one at a scrap yard (be prepared to pay here too) or on a tractor.

My mistake. Sorry. I knew they we not out of business, just out of the Farmall accessary business, because I tracked them down and talked to someone with the company.

I have one that I would be willing to part with but I don't know how hard they are to take off. It is currently on a MD.

M&W is long out of business. The best option I know of is searching reputable salvage yards for a used M&W 9-Speed gear set.
