Don't forget to bring a can to catch the dripping oil in! I save mine, and every few months I have enough for bicycle chains, door hinges, and other non-critical applications.

Kurt there is no dip stick. Look on the left side of the oil pan, there will be two pet cocks one sits a little higher than the other. Open the top one and add oil until it starts running out and it is full. From then on as long as oil will run out of the lower cock it has enough in it. When no oil runs from lower cock it is a quart low.

There are two petcocks on the side of the oil pan...an upper level and a lower. Loosen it up until some oil drips out (drips, not gushes). The oil level should be between the two.
