ive got a 706 diesel that i pull an 848 with it. i know its a smaller baler, but the only trouble i have is when im baling silage bales and i turn up a really steep hill with a 3/4 full chamber. as allen said they have lots of tongue weight. mine works my chevy half ton 4.3 engine pickup alot harder than the 706!

Funny you should bring that up.

I just towed an 855 that I bought about 15 miles cross country with my Powerstroke pickup. I had no idea and didn't realize how big and heavy those suckers are! That's one heck of a lot of machine!

Pretty sure NE Cowman uses a Hydro 86 on his. Maybe he'll come on here and sooth both our feathers, 'cause I'm really starting to wonder how much snort they take too. :>(

Yeah, I've run mine with the Hydro (and it won't pull a sick wh... out of bed) But yeah, I like to run it best with the 656 which is the same engine as the 706 ecept mine is turboed. But yeah, even a 560 will run a 855. They don't pull hard.
