Does anyone have any info on the W450 gas/diesels? The parts seem to be nearly impossible to locate and I am having an issue with my engine size. The W450 was produced with a 281cid engine. Mine has a 264cid, was there any differences in the production between US and Canada, my engine serial plate has Canada patents on it, did the US version gave this as well? Does anyone know where a carb can be located for the gas/diesel? The original part number cannot be found in any reference material, parts catalogs etc, or any suitable replacement. I can send photos if anyone thinks they may have what I am looking for. It is definately a different carb than the gas W450.

Should find a little round tag on carburetor with # 67860 D? on it for your tractor. The choke operating cable hook up will be to side away from engine for your tractor and a couple of others. If someone used a MD or some of the other carburetors the choke rod or cable depending on whats used will hook to engine side. Think Canada and US used same engines. Does your engine have D 264 stamped in block or just have 4 inch pistons and sleeves. The 4 and 4 1/8 piston and sleeve sets will interchange between D 264 and D281 engines. If you look at casting # on block only late 400,replacement and D 281 blocks ended in R5.

Thanks for your insight, I will look at the block again to see what is cast on it, I thought I had written it down but evidently not. I have a friend who works for Case as a tractor mechanic and he is going to ask some of the other guys and reference service records to see if there is a replacement part. Was there so few of these built that this is why the part cannot be located and there is no aftermarket replacement?

Carburetor should not be to hard to find, one like you need sold last night on ebay for around $15.00. Also look on left front of block just below head for a engine size and serial # stamped in. Date code is on left side of block and can be located from about center to rear of block and not a straight shot to see with injection pump, filters and lines on block.

I have an MD carb. Most likely the same as the 450 uses. I have the carb disassembled and all cleaned up, but it needs a new choke shaft and a new float. Also needs the gaskets. It is for sale.

You can get some parts for the F8 carb from OEM. 1-800-283-2122. I don't know were to get a complete carb except from salvage or maybe ebay. I am sure one can be found. You can also try Glen at 1-888-802-5782. He may have something.

Thanks for the help, I just looked at OEM's website and see they have parts for it but not the carb itself. I will call them and see if they have any idea. Thanks for the leads.

I started to wonder that myself but there is no immediate evidence to support that theory or deny that theory, the guy I bought it off owned it for the last 10 years but really didn't know anything about it and he had bought it at an auction so I think I am at a dead end with tracing it's history.
