I'm wanting to install power steering. does anyone have a diagraham on how to install and what kind of power steering pump that I will need. I have a 1941 mfarmall and I do not know much about mechanics but I enjoy learning. Thanks to everyone that helped me fix my 5th gear last month.

I'm looking for a complete engine for my M, If I don't find one I am going to part it out. It has a good working Charlyn system on it,works good no seal leaks. This would have the crank pulley and the M brackets for mounting, Also has good tin and a tight front end. Should make decision in the next month. 515-999-2226

Thank you for the reply. I will start looking for the used char-lynn power steering set. Are these sets universal with any other farmall's?

The Farmall 504 used the Charlynn torque generator at some point during their production. Other 504's went with hydro-static steering. These could have been utilities. You might find a Charlynn on a 606, 404 or models that superceeded the above tractors such as 544.

Don't over look the Behlin torque generators. They work fine and were factory installed on F400's and F450's. Someone like Mathis Equipment in Cairo, MO will have what you need, in used components, down to the last bolt. Not cheaply, however.

Last week a complete PS system sold on eBay for over $500. You can probably find the listing using the "completed auction" function checkbox.
