Someone ask about the colors of Super C cultivators a while back and got different info. I searched the paint commitee decisions and they are red and blue. No black on these.

I have a paint colors article in the new issue of Red Power. It covers some of the color confusion you guys are having. The decisions that were made during and immediately after WWII because of pigment shortages play into all this. This is especially true for the A and B implements. Those temporary color designations were all history by the time the Super C came out.

By the way, I didn't go research this specific point, but the disk openers on the drill were probably varnished, possibly in blue.

If you want to believe the paint committes go rite ahead i have cultivators for As and Bs that sure are painted different so i realy dont pay much to what the committes instructions. Must have used what colors they had. Just my observations on the stuff i have and have sandblasted.

Gene you are right. Some things depending on the factory and paint on hand were painted in various colors, but I have two sets of cultivators with original paint and decals and neither have any black at all on them. I did see where the committe did OK several different colors including black on some implements. I take all this to mean that colors could have been different depending on when and where the implement may have been made. What I read from the comittee seemed like it was a either or type of decision on some things.

I have two cults that were purchased after the production of the B had finished one was all red and the other one had black shanks and blue guards thats why i say "what paint code' Same with the cults for the A cults. I have both exhaust lifts and manual lifts even the early A-134 which was very simple.

I have 3 or 4 other sets, but there is no paint left on them, so I don't know what scheme may have been on those. Looks like they used whatever was handy. I read some more of the commitee decisions late last night and looks like they approved changes in schemes throughout production of lots of implements, sometimes substituting black for blue and sometimes the other way around. It is a little confusing for some who want to restore some of these things. I have a old grain drill that still has all original paint on it and it is all red and blue, with the exception of the disk openers and I can't tell what they were. I assumed blue, but maybe they were black.

Hello George,
Per your response to my pilot guide forum yesterday. Presuming your pilot guide is in decent shape how about $50?
