Put a bunch of decals on the 706 -806 tractors as i have painted more then my fair share.. And the factory decal kit ain't cheap for all that ya get in the pack. The big becareful one goes on the kick panel on the bottom of the dash along with the park lock decal and the oil change one goes on the oil filter the hyd filter goes on the tear drop hyd. filter cover one caution one goes on the back on the tin plate by the pto handel and the lite switch one goes below the lite switch. the one for the air filter well that one goes on the cover . I do not have any close up pictures of the ones i have done up .

i like putting the decals onwhen the paint is stuill tacky. That way the paint will help the sticker adhere better. Maybe that's not the case but I've always done it and never had a sticker to come off yet. Also I usually spray a little clear coat over the sticker as well to seal it.

Never done it that way the paint is always dry when we put them on and i have never used clear coat on a tractor . when we install them we just take some windsheild washer spray and wet down the area and stick the decal on and squeege the water out this removes any air bubbels and with a soft cloth wipe dry . And since i am cheap every tractor that i have painted has always been in the case i h 2150 enamel .

Yep, that's how I do them on my cars when I have a decal to install. It seals the decal and you can take advantage of the UV inhibitors in the clear coat.

As for application over tacky paint that's just how I do it. It must work since I've never had one peel yet.
