I want to move my loader valves from the rear connection valves to a joystick on the fender. What is the best method? The international dealer in Crossville says no kit for the 1466 tractor is available. I want to run my round baler without unhooking the loader. thanks for any help.

It takes me about 30 minutes to take the loader off...If I am lucky...45 or 60 minutes to put it back on. At the end of this month, I will be doing it again. It"s cheaper but I am tired of it, if it costs $1,000...so be it...it better than buying another tractor...I have rebuilt everything on the 1466 including paint...it is one heck of a tractor...I have another word for the loader. Thank you everyone for your help.

Yes...I have thought about that...The loader is a bush hog "leyland"?, very heavy duty and a good loader. It is a pain to put it on. I may be doing it another year. The other guys gave me some real good advice and some plans to make changes if I follow through. I appreciate everyones help
thank you.

I have 2 Allied loaders, and I bought them because they were quite a bit heavier than the Bushhogs that I looked at and at a better price. The first one I have had since 95 with not one problem with it. I got it with optional 3 inch cylinders to load logs with, and it will lift the back of the tractor off the ground. I do have the same trouble as you with me being to tight to buy a joy stick I just plug straight to the tractor, and have to hook and unhook hoses at times.

Uff Da,

What kind of loader is it? One of those straight DuAls, maybe?

There's a way to go in there and grab a power beyond circuit under the seat. I've never done it, but my 1066 had it on when I bought it. The dealer pulled it back off when I didn't buy the accompying DuAl 3100 loader.

The loader is a Bush Hog Leyland loader. All four hoses connect to the rear valves of the tractor. It"s a pain to put on after taking off.

I think this might be what you are looking for. It looks as though it allows you to insert hoses into the pressure and return lines used by the other remotes to hook up additional valves. You would need to be able to get 2 more valves though, so you would need some sort of a T on the ports and then hose up to your remote valve and joystick assembly. It used to be IH part number 398315R91 for the package (I think...) Note that you need to already have double hydraulic valves for this to work. If you don't have two hydraulic levers on the right side of your seat, you need to add the additional one before this will work.

if i remember right, the 06 series had a removable plate on the outside valve whether single or double. the 56 and newer have the outside valve cast closed off. so this attatchment would be an 06 series only thing...unless the older valve casting was installed.

You want to spend over a thousand bucks to save the 5 minutes it takes to yank that loader?

Now you're starting to sound like me 'cause that's the kind of a stunt I'd pull. :>)

Does he have a quick attach loader or something? When we had a loader on our 806, it took a LONG time to take off that loader. The best I ever managed to remove the loader and leave the frame was probably a half of an hour assuming everything worked to plan. It took about 45 minutes to put on again too, hence the reason we never took it off anymore. It was great having a tractor that big for digging into piles and moving snow, but the hydraulics were not the greatest (and had the early style short cast levers about 8 inches long), and the 06 shifting pattern, which, while it is fine for normal fieldwork, becomes very annoying, and wears out of adjustment FAST for loader work. Our 2500A is a vast improvement, and spoils me with a 2 axis joystick, great hydraulics, a great loader transmission (just move the lever forward and back for forward and reverse) and a very tight turning radius.

As to the hydraulic issue, You would have to find some way to get pressure directly from the hydraulic pump and then get it to the valves for the loader and allow a path to return the oil to the rear end. On the Case IH parts site, there is an image of a power beyond connector for it that looks like it may provide this. I bet it is rare though, and probably no longer available

I was thinking that you must move pretty fast to switch a loader in 5 minutes. Either that, or we need to become a dealer for the company that made your loader, because we'd make a fortune!!!
