I have a Proto 1/2'' female drive ratchet marked "IH 5449". Did IH have such tools made? I have never seen one like it and can't find any information on it.

Boy that sounds exactly like what I have! There is no reverse lever and you simply flip it over to go the other direction. Thanks for the help and if you have any other info. please post!

The 2M and 2ME mounted corn pickers had support jacks that had a heavy long threaded rod that had a 1/2" SQUARE at the top. It required a female rachet. The rachet had no reverse so you turned it over for reverse and it was supplied with the picker. I am sure it had a IH part number and am not sure if I have one in any of my toolboxes. Armand

Armand, I remember that wrench!!!! When I was n 6 or 7th grade I used to help my dad put on the old 2ME mounted picker.. I rember that ratchet! It just had a half inch hole in the center and you would turn it over to reverse the direction. I cant remember the brand though...It did't have a male end on it though like a normal ratchet.

I have a set of IH 1/2 drive sockets. It has the breakover handle, two extensions, regular sockets, and deep wall sockets and a ratchet.

I also have a set of IH open end/box end wrenches, 7/16 to 3/4"

I also have a set of emergency roadside reflectors, with red flags in a metal box that I bought at a sale last year.

We bought the sockets at the IH dealer about 1976 and bought the wrenches at a farm sale in the mid 80's

If anyone has some they will part with or knows of a source, I am missing some sockets, and I recently broke the break over handle.
